Kane Shaw is reborn before the zombie outbreak. He uses his inheritance to buy a Psychiatric Asylum, reinforcing it and hoarding supplies. After zombies arrive, he refuses to save survivors, schemes to kill enemy Celeste Sinclair, and gains ability to control zombies. He overcomes side effects, defeats villainous forces, and uses the Asylum to research a cure and save the world.
