A modern young man travels back to the 1980s countryside and becomes Zhao Dayong (Matt Shepard), a man with a bad reputation. Soon after his rebirth, he falls into a trap but uses his wits to escape. He meets the kind and determined Bai Ling (Lauren White) and the obedient little girl Xiaoduo (Emma White). He revives his father’s hunting skills, makes a living by selling forest products and cooking, and boldly contracts wasteland for farming and breeding. Despite malicious schemes and obstacles, he stays true to himself and works diligently. Over time, he and Bai Ling develop feelings for each other and support one another. Together, they strive through hard years and build a stable, happy life with their own hands.
